Patents / Utility Models

Trademarks
Trademarks provide protection for signs that can be used to individualize the goods and services offered by you. We handle and coordinate your trademark applications in Germany, in the EU and abroad. We also represent you in adversary proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA), the German Federal Patent Court (BPatG) and the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
Designs
Designs provide protection for the visual appearance of a product, i.e., for the aesthetic design of a product. We advise you in this field and file design applications with the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA) or the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). With our experience in design law, we will advise you in adversary proceedings as well.
Employee Invention Law

Employee invention law particularly applies when inventions have been made by employees within the scope of their employment relation. We are experienced in dealing with the rights and obligations that arise for employers and employees in such constellations. We advise you on the determination of employee inventor compensation, the establishment of lump-sum compensation and rights purchase agreements as well as on the handling of employee inventions. In the event of a legal dispute, we represent you before the Arbitration Board established at the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA).

License Agreements

The legally compliant drafting of license agreements is of crucial importance due to typically long contract terms of such agreements. We draft license agreements with foresight so that they not only satisfy your economic interests, but are also designed to be future-proof. Freedom to Operate Analysis

Frequently the question arises as to whether your own product is protected by intellectual property rights of third parties or other rights. We undertake or coordinate any necessary searches, the legal evaluation and, if necessary, advise you on the development of workaround solutions.
